Puru Pandey is the Director of Smith Street Medical Centre, bringing more than 15 years of experience across business, finance, strategic planning and management to the organisation.
His focus is on building sustainable, community-focused healthcare practices where doctors, teams and patients feel valued. Working alongside the wider Smith Street Medical Centre team, Puru supports the organisation’s strategic direction, business development and continued growth.
Inspired by his wife, Dr Sunita Pandey, and her dedication to medicine, Puru has developed a strong commitment to creating supportive healthcare environments built around collaboration, independence and long-term community connection.

Puru is the Director of Smith Street Medical Centre and brings more than 15 years of experience across business, finance, strategic planning and management.
His journey into healthcare was inspired by his wife, Dr Sunita Pandey, and her dedication to medicine. This experience helped shape Puru’s vision for healthcare practices that feel supportive and connected, where doctors can focus on delivering care and teams have the systems and environment they need to do their best work.
Puru is particularly passionate about developing a collaborative healthcare network where practices can share resources, knowledge and opportunities while maintaining their independence, identity and clinical autonomy.
Outside of work, family is central to Puru’s life. He enjoys spending time with Sunita and their children, travelling, exploring new places and creating memories together. The values of family, connection and community continue to influence his approach to Smith Street Medical Centre.
