Anna Braithwaite

Anna is an accredited mental health Social Worker who has worked for more than 35 years in clinical settings. She is a registered Allied Health Medicare provider (PN 4856152T). Referrals are made in the same way as a psychologist, by preparing a letter of referral and GP Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Her work has included many years in community health, family and relationship counselling, student counselling and mental health. Currently Anna practices with Trent Harper 3 days a week at Headspace Maitland. Anna uses the Medicare approved psychological strategies including CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, relaxation and mindfulness, skills training, psycho education and ACT. Her particular interest is working with people to recognise and address the broader implications of their distress and the impact this can have on friends, family, work and education.

Dr Derek Gilligan

Dr Derek Gilligan is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years experience working with adults and adolescents with a wide variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, adjustment, bi-polar, schizophrenia, personality, distress and trauma to name only a few. Dr Gilligan adopts a person centred approach and tailors the therapy to the needs of individual clients to ensure he maximises the best possible outcomes for them. Some common contexts Dr Gilligan's clients have presented with include relationships, workplace stress and bullying, family, identity, personal development, social isolation, adjusting to change, grief and loss, physical health, career and coaching, study and exam stress, just to mention a few.  Dr Gilligan has a caring approach and not only values and respects his client's and their personal stories, but also the quality of the service he provides. Dr Katrina Burchell

Dr Katrina Burchell is a Clinical Psychologist and has over 15 years' experience working with adults with a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, stress, grief and loss, drug and alcohol issues, and interpersonal difficulties.. Katrina also has a personal interest in working with people whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Katrina has had experience working within a number of areas of psychology including mental health (acute and rehabilitation), community health, drug and alcohol, and forensic settings. Katrina also currently works for the University of Newcastle in mental health research.

Katrina customises therapy to best suit each of her clients by drawing from a variety of techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational therapies. Using these as well as other interventions she enables her clients to find the most helpful path to reach their goals and contribute to growth in their lives.

Jessica Staples

is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of presenting difficulties, both in the public and private sectors.

Jessica has expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She has also trained in a range of other therapies, including Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Solution-Focused Therapy, etc. Jessica has experience working with children and adolescents in areas such as mood and anxiety disorders, panic, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, social anxiety, bullying, adjustment difficulties, HSC stress, behavioural difficulties and interpersonal relationship difficulties. Rachelle is a registered psychologist who provides treatment to adults, adolescents and children
She has experience providing treatment in private practice psychology services, occupational rehabilitation and disability services
